i have been accused of using eyeliner when i really have never used it and i want to use it for style and to show that i really can use it.. HELP ME PLEASE!!Im 14 and a guy and i wanna use eye liner..how do i convince my parents?
tell them that you are a unique person and they need to support you for that, it is your style and your image, and they need to respect that.


you dont tell them how to dress do you?-then they shouldnt have to tell you that you cant wear eyeliner.

I think guys who wear eyeliner are cool. Tell your parents your an individual, and your into the whole emo thing. Parents know things are phases. If that doesn't work, steal your sisters eyeliner or do it anyways until your parents get used to it.
well honestly. no guy can pull of eyeliner unless they are gay or a rockstar. but ur probably nither. so i dont sugest u use it. and trust me. its wont look good. but if ur gay and/or still wanna ware it then tell them it just a stage. or try something else.

Eye-liner for guys what color and how to apply?

Hello I'm looking for some eye-liner I'm going for the smudged look but want it to be very subtle to the point where you cannot tell i'm wearing it but to just add effect to my eyes. I'm wondering for this effect should I go with a black color or a dark brown. Again I'm not going for the goth/punk look, just want subtle effect. Thankss

Even though you say your going for the ';subtle'; effect makeup on guys is always a turn off for me and most girls, if a girl notices your wearing it she may turn the other way.


Adding a dark smudge to your eye will just make you look like you have had no sleep!


I dont think it's a good idea but for what its worth if your going to do it make shure its not noticable.


Dark brown will be less harsh too.

Whatever you do is going to look suspect. The only way you could maybe get away with it is use a dark brown pencil that is sharpened to a fine point and then carefully take it and just dot in between your eyelashes. If you smudge, it will certainly look like you have something on. The other person was right, make-up on a man is never right unless is on TV or on stage.

since you dont really want to go for the emo/scene/punk look i think you should find a dark brown its less noticeable but still has great effect

Well, my advice would be to go to your CVS or Rite Aid or whatever and find the ';Wet'n'wild'; brand--they're $.99. Grab dark brown, lighter brown, black and gray and see which work best for you. The color of your eyelashes, eyelids and eyebrows are going to have a major factor in how it looks, not to mention how light or dark your eye color is.

go for a dark brown colored pencil. put your finger on the outside of your eye and pull so it kinda looks asian (not being racist or anything) then take a sharpened eyeliner pencil and lightly put it as close to your lash line as possible. dont do your bottom lid.
Whatever you choose, make sure you get some boxing gloves because you're gonna need em.
