Eyebrow liner question...?

whenever i line my brows...i look like bert. they are just too dark. should I go a shade lighter than my natural brows? a shade darker? what the heck?Eyebrow liner question...?

Try to get a similar shade as with ur hair colour. Do not use shades that are very dark in colour (eg black, dark grey etc) as it tends to make u look fierce. Try not to line ur brows, get ur brows neatly tweeze or thread, fill it in lightly and slowly using the pencil. If u have thin brows, use eyebrow powder to shade in.
I use a powder for my eyebrows i just put it on lightley(lighter then my shade).Then i go over the tips of my brows with liner(also lighter then my eyebrow shade).Then i grab some TP and lightly rub it off a little and im good to go.
If you are using an eyebrow pencil, use one that is 1 shade lighter than your own brow color %26amp; use short, feathery strokes to fill in sparse areas.





The easiest thing to do if you are just trying to shape %26amp; groom your brows is to use brow gel or clear mascara to comb them into shape.

Go a shade lighter than your natural eyebrow color. Also, only use the eyebrow pencil to make short, light strokes onto your brow and only in places where there are sparse patches. If you do long, harder strokes your brows really will be too dramatic and Bert-ish.
why do you line your eye brows? Unless you are older, and therefore have to fill them in, i would not line them
a good secret is to use the mascara. just comb your brows gently (once or twice) and your eyebrows will look slightly darker..at least realistic.
Try an eyeshadow instead. It looks more natural
get yourself to a benefit counter they have a great little brow kit and id say a shade lighter. the girls will advice you best there on a colour suitable for you too

I use this stuff from Origins called Just Browsing. .its like mascara for your eyebrows. I've tried shadow and liner and both were hard, but this is really simple - it comes in two colors and looks really natural.

Maybe you could consider going to a professional makeup place, and having your brows tweezed or dyed. But thick dark brows are supposedly very sexy. Do you know about Mariel Hemingway and Brook Sheilds?
