when i do makeup at the salon i usually use shadow because it blends better, especially if you have to fill in very sparse brows. pencil tends to give it a ';sharpie'; type look to them but i DO use pencil if its just to fill in small spots. try experimenting to see what looks best on you.What is better eyebrow liner (filled in with a pencil) or eyebrow shadow?
I prefer the shadow. It smudges in more naturally. Two generations of women seem to prefer the less natural pencil, very young women and women my grandmothers age. My generation tends to the shadow.
Personally I prefer the pencil. I don't use it often but when I get my brows waxed the woman fills them in with a pencil and looks much more natural than shadow. If you use light short strokes then it looks very natural

Shadow definitely!! Looks much more natural %26amp; also I find it's much easier to touch up eyebrows with shadow using a fine makeup brush, rather then using pencil.
i use pencil. if its to much, you can always use an eyebrow brush and smooth it out a little
eyebrow shadow for sure.... pencil looks too fake..., thats just my opinion tho. my dads girlfriend uses the shadow and it looks nice
